About
Amanda is a community and legislative advocate at heart. She heads up marketing efforts (i.e. herding the puppies) for the open source arm of Dell Technologies. Currently, she is working on a diversity plan to grow the {code} Community to include more female voices. With her technology passion, she is also the SC19 (Supercomputing worldwide conference, 2019) communications chair. Her passion for organization and creativity made her perfect for creating the customer advocacy program at the supercomputing company DDN and running worldwide operations and inside sales for BakBone Software (now Quest Software’s backup and recovery solution).
For her night job, Amanda is mentoring an IT department within Intuit on where to volunteer monthly to impact homelessness in San Diego and Junior League of San Diego’s legislative efforts in Sacramento. If she’s not working, she’s traveling the world looking for the perfect path less traveled.
